The Central California Coast has to be some of the prettiest land and sea in the world and this campground has to be one of the best places to experience it. After winding the fourteen mile ranch road, one steps into a little land know Jalama. It seems like fog is ever-flowing through and around the hills to the north, never seeming to reach this quaint beach. Everything is far. Phones and internet are of no use. The only sign of outside civilization is the train that quietly respects the serenity of the place.
This trip was my family's third time to the little beach we love. Our cousins joined us which seemed to complete our pilgrimage because my mom and my uncle went there as kids and now we could all be there together. Surf, kite surf, kayack, forts, creek swims, hikes, lounging, fires, banana boats, shell collecting, sun, breeze and two crazy families.
Some of our good family friends joined us for the last few days. Every day there was a dream.
